Georgia Aquarium offers virtual yoga classes with its famous fish

Take part of yoga and meditation classes with the Georgia Aquarium – for free and from the comfort of your home. Virtual Yoga by the Water offers a calming background, featuring some of Georgia’s most famous fish. These sessions allow you a way to learn about yoga and meditation from home, inspired by whale sharks and manta rays.

Georgia Aquarium’s Yoga by the Water is in partnership with Dancing Dogs Yoga Studio. Each session is filmed in front of the Ocean Voyager exhibit, with sessions ranging from beginner to intermediate.

Virtual Yoga by the Water: Beginner Session 1

Dive in to your first class, with simple instructions and a view you can only achieve at the Georgia Aquarium (and in this virtual class, of course). Efforts such as these were part of many zoo and aquariums goals to offer at home options during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Currently, there are four Virtual Yoga by the Water offerings. You can head to the Georgia Aquarium’s Yoga site to watch all four sessions. Once inspired, you can also purchase tickets and visit the Georgia Aquarium yourself to see their exhibits and awe-inspiring Ocean Voyager area.

While the Georgia Aquarium was making virtual yoga sessions, one amazing dad was building the Disney Parks inspired home of his kid’s dreams. Checkout this Living with the Land themed Epcot bathroom, another step in a multi-year project by @ChefJags on Twitter (X).
