Disney fans dress up as Cast Members, virtually ride the rides at home and cover their cars in Annual Passholder magnets. But one fan went beyond and built a fully-themed Living with the Land bathroom.
Chris, @ChefJags on Twitter, surprised his daughters with a top-to-bottom remake of their bathroom, completely themed to Living with the Land. Using personal know-how, new paint and a collection of Etsy shops, this project came to life.
The bathroom design was a surprise
“I did all of the floors, walls, fittings, finishes, hanging, etc. All the color and accent pieces were chosen to match the themes in the different rooms,” said Chris. “The Land bathroom was a surprise to the rest of my family as I hid the theme and details until the final reveal.”
Living with the Land is one of Epcot super-fans’ favorite attractions. This slow moving edu-tainment boat ride is located in the Land Pavilion at Epcot’s World Nature.
Using Etsy for the tiny details
Chris used small shops on Etsy to nail the theming. From signage to posters, Lego builds and bathroom figures, you can buy these items to make your own bathroom design:

“Disney is engrained in our family”
“We are Annual Passholders and my kids have grown up visiting Walt Disney World. My wife and I spent eight days at a Disney Resort back in 2005 for our honeymoon. It is engrained in our family,” stated Chris.
Disney Parks are built to create memories that last a lifetime. Something as simple as a boat ride is now the star of a family’s home. With Disney’s decades of designs, rides, shows, songs and even fantastical food, millions of Disney fans have been inspired.
More than just a bathroom
It doesn’t end with the Living with the Land bathroom. The master bedroom and bathroom are also themed, with “more updates and projects on the way,” says Chris. Happily Ever After, the Carousel of Progress and even a Walt Disney quote have made it to this side of the home.
