Taco Bell and Cheez-It have combined forces to bring more delicious food to the masses. In this new Taco Bell menu shake-up, the Big Cheez-It makes its first appearance. The size of 16 regular Cheez-Its, the Big Cheez-It is the star, appearing in all three options – no small regular Cheez-Its allowed.
Taco Bell is known for meat, cheese, beans, sour cream and a wrap, combined in about 20 different ways. Now, that menu has welcomed the Big Cheez-It. I myself am a big, big Cheez-It fan. In fact, I don’t let myself buy large boxes, because I tend the entire thing in one sitting. With that level of love, I had to try this new option.
The Big Cheez-It at Taco Bell
For $1, you can buy just the Big Cheez-It. Of all the options, this is actually the one we recommend the most. It has the Instagrammble function of being large, it is cheap, and (of course) it tastes like a Cheez-It. Be warned, it breaks very easily. As seen in the video above, move with caution for your social media pics, or this cheese cracker will come crumbling down.
For the flavor, it is exactly what you expect, a Cheez-It. The one I tried was about 90% of the flavor a normal sized Cheez-It. Due to its size, I expected a slight flavor difference, but it was pretty close.

Big Cheez-It Crunchwrap Supreme
As you know, fast food never ends up as pretty as it looks in the promo video. Watch the video at the top of this article for my look at what you actually get. But this above promo image is helpful for showcasing what ingredients you can expect. A Crunchwrap Supreme, with a Big Cheez-It Cracker, for $5.49. As one of Taco Bell’s top selling items, this was sure to be a hit. And it was, but not for the “Cheez-It” factor.
For the flavor, it tastes the same way you expect a Crunchwrap Supreme. That’s the issue. For my taste test, I didn’t taste the Cheez-It cracker at all. Even after numerous bites, I had to search for the cracker to make sure it was even in the Crunchwrap Supreme. It tasted good, but the Crunchwrap Supreme always does, and this flavor wasn’t any different.

Big Cheez-It Tostada
The best middle ground, the Big Cheez-It Tostada. This offering takes advantage of the large Cheez-It without hiding the flavor of either the meats, cheeses, tomatoes or Cheez-It. A bit hard to eat, I recommend grabbing some napkins for this tostada. For our sample, we actually got more toppings than shown in the Taco Bell released image.
This $3.99 Big Cheez-It Tostada has flavor, ample meat and toppings and a Cheez-It flavor you could truly taste. The Cheez-It actually complimented this offering, instead of hiding like the Crunchwrap Supreme version. For four dollars, it isn’t Taco Bell’s most filling meal, but worth it for a seasonal flavor.
