You can buy a real Universal Harry Potter theme park prop for $125K

If you’ve ever wanted to take a piece of Harry Potter’s Wizarding World home, now you can. A one-of-a-kind timber wagon from the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, styled as a Victorian market carriage, is listed for sale or rent on Facebook Marketplace for $125,000. It’s sitting in Winter Park, Florida. At 10′ 10″, it’s taller than a regulation basketball hoop, but that won’t matter when you have a flying broomstick to reach the top of it.

Based on the listing photo, the wagon was used in Diagon Alley at Universal Studios Florida. Today, the shelves are empty. Newer photos show the wagon with its curved roof, hanging lantern, cabinets and big spoked wheels still in place. If only it came with a ton of the Harry Potter merchandise as well, that might help with the big price tag.

How big is the Harry Potter wagon?

This is bigger than you might remember from previous visits to Diagon Alley. Here are the numbers from the listing:

  • Price: $125,000, but also available for rent
  • Height: 130 inches
  • Width: 53 inches
  • Length: 134 inches
  • Weight: an estimated 3,000 to 5,000 pounds
  • Location: Winter Park, Florida

In other words, this isn’t a prop you toss in the back of a car. You’ll want a plan, and probably a big trailer, before you bring it home. Reach out to the seller to see best transport options.

Who would buy a Harry Potter theme park wagon?

If you run an event venue, a themed shop or you’re the kind of superfan who needs a showpiece for the backyard, this could be your magical centerpiece. Since it’s also offered for rent, you don’t have to commit to owning a two-ton carriage to use it for a party, photo shoot or fan event. But, contact the listing owner first to see how this gigantic prop could be transported to and from your next special event.

Would you be willing to spend $125,000 on a one-of-a-kind theme park prop? Taylor Strickland, CEO of the Orlando Informer, has gone viral numerous times for his wild theme park purchases, including ride props. Big or small, props and signage from the theme parks are truly works of art. One lucky fan could be the next owner of this magical piece.
