SeaWorld Orlando is preparing to fulfill some of the top wishes of customers with one new attraction, SEAQuest: Legends of the Deep. Opening later this year, this world-first dark ride promises an immersive attraction that welcomes families into an all new adventure. Thanks to photo updates by Bioreconstruct on X, we can see just how fast this new ride is being prepped.
SEAQuest: Legends of the Deep is opening near Sesame Street Land and the 2025 debut attraction, Expedition Odyssey. With the addition of SEAQuest: Legends of the Deep, the park will add even more indoor, family friendly experiences. The tourism district of Orlando has seen radical changes since 2020 closures six years ago. In that time all of Central Florida’s theme parks have added major rides, changed policies, offered discounts and worked on land updates. SeaWorld Orlando has debuted numerous new roller coasters and fans began to ask for more:
- More kid focused options
- More slow-paced attractions
- More offerings unaffected by weather
With this singular attraction, SeaWorld Orlando attempts to fulfill each of those requests alongside adding more ride capacity to the park.

SEAQuest: Legends of the Deep attraction
We do not yet know the exact opening date of this attraction, but we do know some important facts about the ride. The ride vehicle can rotate 360º, swing back-and-forth and play onboard audio. While SeaWorld has so far revealed a yellow and blue ride vehicle, they mentioned that the vehicles will be in different colors, so perhaps a pink, red or green submarine style ride vehicle will pick you up in the station. Each ride vehicle can hold up to three adults or two adults and two accompanying kids. The attraction is being manufactured by Vekoma, a world famous ride manufacturer known in Orlando for other major attractions such as Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, Seven Dwarves Mine Train and TRON: Lightcycle / Run.
This family-focused attraction is something new for SeaWorld Orlando, according to Conner Carr, Corporate Vice President of Rides and Engineering for SeaWorld. Conner states, “The whole ride is about exploration…you will see animals of all kinds, environments alike, right and really explore the ocean…the backbone of the ride is going and seeing all of these amazing places you’ve never seen before.”
We still have questions…
We don’t yet know everything about SEAQuest: Legends of the Deep. But, SeaWorld has claimed that a family friendly, indoor, immersive attraction will debut in 2026 and that it will offer views into amazing places never yet experienced in a theme park. With its location near other family friendly offerings, the ride seems primed to offer a section of the park dedicated to indoor animal areas and more immersive experiences. We await answers on:
- Height requirement
- Ride time
- Opening date

But we still have a lot of 2026 ahead of us. Looking at this photo by Bioreconstruct, posted March 14, 2026, we can see that the “outer shell” is almost finalized. There will be a lot more interior work completed before we can expect an opening date to be shared. While the ride’s interior will be hidden from view, we can watch the progress on the walkways and outdoor theming to guess throughout the summer on when the ride may be completed.
Eager fans will notice this show building is easily visible from the entrance road to the parking lot. This is no small structure and we will have to make some guesses as to what we can expect inside. The next thing to keep an eye out for in aerial photos is the appearance of ride track as it waits to be installed inside. What are you most excited to experience in 2026 in our Florida theme parks?
