Moana is coming back to theaters with, “Moana 2.” Originally announced as a Disney+ series, Moana’s next adventure has been transformed into a full-length theatrical film and will release this year.
With the incredible success of princess Moana, in the theme parks and for online streaming, it makes sense for her to have a triumphant return to the big screen. We were given a short teaser trailer. There is a lot more to learn in the next few months as “Moana 2” prepares to make waves in theaters on Nov. 27, 2024.
Disney fans want more Moana
Moana is one of the most successful Disney animated films in recent years. From merchandise to streaming, Disney fans made it clear – they want more Moana. Now, this 2024 “Moana 2” film is being diverted from straight-to-streaming with Disney+ to theaters worldwide.

While this teaser trailer is certainly short, it does give us a quick look at Moana landing at what may be a new island. In the teaser pic, we can see that Pua and Hei Hei, as well as Maui, are joining Moana on an ocean adventure. What do you think will happen next?
