The heat is up this summer, but SeaWorld Orlando is prepping their cool, new, family-coaster, Penguin Trek. This multi-launch roller coaster will be opening July 7, but Pass Members get early ride access. Alongside the new coaster, SeaWorld is also teaming up with the Club Wyndham for a SeaWorld 60th anniversary suite deal that’s almost too good to be true.
Penguin Trek coaster testing
Testing for Penguin Trek has been happening continually for weeks now. This family coaster will reach speeds of 43 miles per hour and go over 3,020 feet of track – a substantial length for a family-style offering. This will be the park’s eighth roller coaster. We previously showcased how SeaWorld Orlando will soon have as many coasters as Disney’s Animal Kingdom has total rides.
This new offering will be available for riders from 42 to 77 inches in height. The coaster will launch twice, soar over guest pathways and turn right next to the thrilling Manta roller coaster. SeaWorld states, “what sets this experience apart as truly extraordinary is its unparalleled finale: as the coaster comes to a halt, guests find themselves not in a simulated penguin colony, but in the very heart of SeaWorld Orlando’s own penguin habitat.”

Pass Member Penguin Trek early preview dates
Pass Members are going to have a first chance to ride, with five days of first admission access. That means less crowds, more coaster and way more penguins:
- Platinum Pass Members: July 2–3
- Platinum & Gold Pass Members: July 4
- Platinum, Gold, & Silver Pass Members: July 5
- Platinum, Gold, Silver, & Bronze Pass Members plus Fun Card holders: July 6
Sleep as snug as a family of Penguins in SeaWorld Suite
The Club Wyndham has a new SeaWorld Suite, themed to Penguin Trek and the 60th Anniversary of SeaWorld. Each booking in this suite includes park admission for four and a real-life Penguin Encounter. That’s not all, hotel guests can also enjoy free SeaWorld Orlando parking, All Day Dining, Reserved Seating, One-Time Quick Queue, and One Day PhotoKey Access.
Pricing begins at $439, and with the added perks and a room, that is actually very fair pricing. Tickets alone for a summer visit can cost around $400 for a group of four. These additional perks make it a true value price for those wanting to go all-in for Penguin Trek and SeaWorld Orlando.
