Mermaids are in Florida! SEA LIFE Aquarium Orlando has begun celebrating Mer-May, a month of mermaid celebrations. Mermaids can be seen in the Atlantic Ocean exhibit and on dry land for photos. Included with admission, this experience is happening for one-month-only at ICON Park.
SEA LIFE Orlando Aquarium is one of numerous popular offerings at ICON Park. With free parking, daily entertainment, shopping and dining, ICON Park is one of the most popular spots in Orlando. Located next to the Orlando Eye, SEA LIFE Orlando Aquarium offers a step into numerous seas and aquatic landscapes.
Meet a mermaid in Florida
This Meet a Mermaid event is offered every Friday, Saturday and Sunday during the month of May – plus Memorial Day. Mermaid Dives are located in the Atlantic Ocean habitat. These dives happen at 11:30 – 1pm, 2pm – 4pm and 5pm – 6:30pm. “On land” Mermaid meet & greets are offered continuously from 11:30am – 6:30pm.
New for this year, a Mermaid Coral activity book is offered. This book lets young explorers collect stamps, learn about the ocean and collect a prize.
How to experience SEA LIFE Orlando Aquarium
Parking is FREE (you don’t hear that enough) at ICON Park in their large parking garage. On select days, valet is also offered. After a day of exploring sea animals, there are numerous dining options at ICON Park such as Yard House, Gordon Ramsay Fish & Chips, Sloppy Joe’s Orlando, Tin Roof and more.
Tickets are sold individually or as packages. There are a ton of options, from Florida Resident rates to combo packages, behind-the-scenes tours and VR experiences. SEA LIFE Orlando Aquarium is also offering Homeschool and Teacher Appreciation Week discounts on select days.
