One of the most well-known anime shows on Earth, “Dragon Ball,” is getting a world first theme at Qiddiya in Saudi Arabia. This 123 acre park will feature over 30 attractions and seven lands. Located in Qiddiya, the city of play, this Dragon Ball theme park will be surrounded by world class entertainment options.
Qiddiya states, “Get ready to immerse yourself in the world’s only Dragon Ball Theme Park, just in Qiddiya city! On a scale never imagined before, the park’s interactive and explorable themed experiences will allow you to live the adventures at the heart of the action, experiencing the journey from the first Dragon Ball series to the latest Dragon Ball Super.”
Dragon Ball in Qiddiya
In the center, a monumental 70 meter (229 foot) tall statue of the dragon Shenron will be a formidable force. And it will preside over dragon ball domes and a record breaking roller coaster. With AR and VR technology, Qiddiya will bring the powers and iconic moments of Dragon Ball Z into our world.
Dragon Ball theme park will feature memorable locations and battle spots. Within the 30 attractions, Qiddiya is claiming five of them will be go beyond expectations, as groundbreaking new offerings. The park will also feature immersive restaurants and even hotels. Guests can eat, sleep and battle their way through the Dragon Ball storyline.

123 acres of Dragon Ball storylines to explore
This won’t be a land. It will be a full fledged theme park, built off the many years, episodes, sagas and films of the Dragon Ball franchise. Guests can explore the Kame House, Capsule Corporation, and Beerus’ Planet. Visitors will be able to join Goku and pals for adventures waiting to be told.
While we await more details, super fans can recognize locations and battlegrounds from the concept art. The current opening date of this theme park has not yet been announced. But, this announcement came not too long after the F1 Grand Prix Circuit Track reveal. Qiddiya expects the F1 track to debut for the 2027 race season.
If these align, we may only be a few years away from fighting alongside Goku and Vegeta. The Dragonball team themselves spoke on this new park, “The Dragon Ball theme park will boast a whopping size of over 500,000 square meters… construction of a 70 meter-high Shenron is also planned, with this landmark containing a large-scale roller coaster inside. In addition, there will also be fully stocked hotels and restaurants available at the park to enable fans to immerse themselves in the world of Dragon Ball for an entire day of fun.”

Dragon Ball drone show in Qiddiya
One specific piece of concept art showcases a drone and firework spectacular. The Middle East has become world famous in recent years for spectacular drone shows. The visuals of the Dragon Ball franchise align perfectly with this tech. More details will be released in future updates about all that is to be offered in this park.
Qiddiya City in Saudi Arabia
Qiddiya, upon completion, is expected to house 600,000+ residents and welcome millions of tourists from around the world. The city will offer over 400 tourist attractions, host 25 themed neighborhoods and be around 138 square miles in total size.
From Dragon Ball to a world-record breaking Six Flags, Qiddiya expects to eventually offer 12 unique theme park experiences. They are over 60% complete now with Qiddiya Water Theme Park, which will be the largest in the entire region.
In the United States, Disney Cruise Line is preparing for yet another cruise ship – Disney Destiny. Expected to set sail in 2025, this ship is built on the idea of opposing forces of good and evil, dark and light.
