LEGO fan, Bricksland Bricks, has created a LEGO MOC (My Own Creation) and submitted it to the LEGO Ideas website, a place where fans can pitch set ideas to the official LEGO company. This set, designed after the iconic Dream Class Disney Cruise Line ships, already has 2,200+ supporters, surpassing two of the four stages needed to get it in front of LEGO designers.
As shared by LEGO, “LEGO Ideas is where you have the power to turn your dream LEGO® builds into real-life, 100% official LEGO sets! It’s the place to upload your own set ideas, browse hundreds of others, and vote for your favorites to see them become official LEGO products.” Upon hitting 10,000 LEGO account supporters, these fan-made sets will be placed in front of real LEGO Creatives to review for a potential set in the future.
LEGO Disney Cruise Line Ship, a fan submission
According to fan-designer, Bricksland Bricks, “My goal was to capture the ship’s iconic profile and distinctive details while creating a fun and rewarding LEGO building experience. From the elegant bow to the twin funnels, lifeboats, and The AquaDuck slide, I worked to recreate the features that make this ship instantly recognizable while using creative LEGO building techniques…I believe this build would appeal to a wide range of LEGO fans because it complements the existing Disney-themed collection, including sets like Cinderella Castle, the Disney Train Station, and Main Street, U.S.A. Many families who have made unforgettable memories at the Disney Parks have also sailed with Disney Cruise Line, yet there has never been a LEGO set celebrating these iconic ships.”
This is currently the only proposed set by Bricksland Bricks shared on the LEGO Ideas website. But there are additional Disney and theme park related sets by other fans:
- Remy the Little Chef
- The Incredibles Omnidroid Showdown
- The Door From Monster Inc.
- Kermit the Frog – Rainbow Connection
- The Muppet Show Opening
- Mini Twilight Zone Tower of Terror
- 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea: Captain Nemo’s Nautilus
- Cedar Point Entryway: Gate Keeper
- Frankenstein Manor: Monsters Unchained
- The Haunted Maze
