Disney Parks employees are known as Cast Members, these gurus of customer service are the backbone of Disney’s gold standard in hospitality. Years ago Disney Parks began #CastCompliments, a way for visitors to the parks to thank and celebrate Cast Members and the ways they create magic. As part of World Compliment Day, Walt Disney World and Disneyland are celebrating 3,000,000 Mobile Cast Compliment submissions and some of the Cast Members who received that thanks.

Shared by the Disney Parks Blog, two Cast Members at Walt Disney World and a Cast Member at Disneyland Resort were honored this year for their outstanding service. Cast Members work with tens-of-thousands of guests, during the good days and the bad. Disney has routinely pointed back to their Cast Members as the reason for so many return visits. Guests love to see the energy and service that Cast Members put forth. In fact, it’s a core asset for the company, one that they focus on during their collegiate style courses at The Disney Institute.

Charm and Angel at Kilimanjaro Safaris
At Walt Disney World, a duo took the honor this year, both receiving among the top quantity of Mobile Cast Compliments. Charm Lerario and Angel Flores both work at Kilimanjaro Safari at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. “These Mobile Cast Compliments remind me that the small moments matter,” Charm shared. “Even a quick chat or a fun fact can make someone’s day, and knowing that makes me smile.”
Most Cast Compliments are submitted via the My Disney Experience app, but they can also be submitted in person at Guest Relations. “Being named one of Walt Disney World’s top complimented cast members is something I never expected,” Angel shared. “I don’t think about numbers. I think about the smiles, the laughs, and the moments I get to share with guests. Knowing I made someone’s day—and that happiness carries forward—that’s what means the most.”

Luis at Disneyland Resort
The most complimented Cast Member at Disneyland Resort is Luis Sanchez, a PhotoPass Photographer.
“Being named the most complimented cast member is beyond words,” Luis shared. “All I do is have fun with the guests and give them the experience I would want—capturing the moments I’d want to have of my kids. There are much better photographers than myself, but I think it’s my personality. I give the guests an adventure. Getting compliments from guests feels like they’re saying I left a memory with them,” Luis said. “When they take the extra step to share that through the app, it’s pretty cool because it means they remember that I gave them something they truly enjoyed.”
How to give Cast Compliments at Walt Disney World and Disneyland
Cast Compliments can be submitted on the My Disney Experience app for Walt Disney World or the Disneyland Resort app. You can search “Cast Compliment” in the app or scroll down in the menu to the Mobile Cast Compliments section. From here, you can leave details to help Disney identify the Cast Members and get the compliment over to them.
You can also speak to Guest Relations at the park to submit a compliment in person. Name and hometown spelling should be specific as Walt Disney World alone employs over 50,000 Cast Members. If a specific Cast Member has made your day you can also request to take a photo of their name tag to remember all the details for a submission.
