Burak Yeter makes Music & Space History | New DJ World Record

Turkish-Dutch DJ, Burak Yeter, has taken DJ’ing to new heights, literally. His “One Day In Space” campaign has reached its peak with a DJ set from the Earth’s stratosphere, 55,000 feet in the air. This new DJ world record offered a 1 hour DJ set in the sky as Burak Yeter sent audio waves across the globe.

A two hour ascent from Barcelona, Spain led Burak Yeter towards the stars as his 1 hour live DJ set began at 55,000 feet. While inside a capsule specifically made for this experience, Burak Yeter was able to witness the curvature of the Earth as the equipment was prepped for his big moment. After numerous years of planning and prep the music began.

World record breaking DJ set

Burak Yeter took off towards space as the sun rose, landing back down on Earth admist a sunny morning, a new world record holder. This DJ set required a lot of collaborative effort from teams related to space travel, large-scale balloon manufacturing and life preservation equipment.

Ultramagic Balloons and Globuskontiki worked with the Burak Yeter “One Day In Space” team to create this mode of transportation that could support the weight of people and the heavy equipment used to make this DJ set possible. Zero 2 Infinity manufactured the capsule responsible for keeping the crew safe.

We originally wrote about this project in early 2024 when this campaign was still in the planning phase. Now, one-and-a-half years later mission accomplished.
