Times Square during New Year’s Eve is a dream for millions around the world. But the reality of visiting during that time can be more nightmare-ish. Tens-of-thousands of people smashed in like sardines with less than ideal bathroom options. But, restaurants near the world famous ball drop are quick to offer premium viewing for a premium price. Applebee’s is also offering nearby dining with a buffet and top-shelf liquor for $1030. This comes with indoor dining and celebrations, plus an escort out to the ball drop right before it happens. But, viewing is not guaranteed.
Marriott Marquis is offering $1250 tickets to their New Year’s Eve party. But it should be noted that to step onto their pristine viewing area you need to pay an additional $2500 per person.
