Opening in 2025, Universal Epic Universe is poised to be the biggest themed entertainment debut of the decade. This massive theme park, and surrounding hotels, will need 14,000+ employees, and hiring is happening now for entertainment offerings. As shared by Universal Team Members, the Universal Orlando Resort has begun internal auditions for this upcoming park.
According to recent entertainment audition material, Universal is current looking for:
- Actors
- Actor Musicians
- Dancers
- Drumers
- Puppeteers
- Singers
- Animated Show/Atmosphere Performers
Audition material must be submitted by existing Universal Orlando Resort Team Members by Nov. 22, 2023 at midnight. Team Members will need to submit a headshot, resume, full-length photo and an audition video link.
Auditions for Universal Epic Universe
Even though Universal Epic Universe is not expected to open until summer 2025, the documents state that audition callbacks are expected to start in Jan. 2024. We have written before that Universal Epic Universe is coming along incredibly fast, but those dates are still well ahead of an expected opening date.
Auditions for DreamWorks Land at Universal Studios Florida
Universal is also now hiring internally and externally for entertainment roles in the upcoming DreamWorks Land. This DreamWorks land is taking over the previous Woody Woodpecker’s KidZone. Expected to open summer 2024, this new land will offer rides, shows and eateries.
Based on these documents, we can assume guests will be able to meet Po from “Kung Fu Panda” and Donkey from “Shrek.” Donkey meet and greets have gone viral again and again at Universal parks around the world. Donkey’s wild antics have had him messing with guests, cracking improv jokes and making jabs at competitor, Walt Disney World.
These documents also revealed that this upcoming DreamWorks land will offer entertainment with animated show performers, singers, dancers and puppeteers. While not confirmed, we believe that a “Trolls” dance party is likely to happen in the middle of this new land. The deadline for these DreamWorks Land auditions is Wednesday Nov. 15 at midnight.
