DreamWorks Land announced for Universal Studios Florida

The Woody Woodpecker’s KidZone replacement has been announced. An all-new DreamWorks Land is coming to Universal Studios Florida with new and re-themed offerings.

No specific rides, shows or eateries have been confirmed yet. But, concept art and previous Universal Orlando Resort statements have mentioned “Shrek,” “Trolls,” “Kung Fu Panda” and “Gabby’s Dollhouse.”

DreamWorks Destination was a temporary character and dance party location that opened in 2021 to offer more indoor kid experiences. It was a hub for characters and entertainment offerings throughout the day.

This land is poised to open in 2024, adding yet another kids offering to Universal Studios Florida. Recently, the re-imagined Shrek 4-D attraction and Monsters Cafe were converted into Illumination’s Villain-Con Minion Blast, the Minion Cafe, Freeze Ray Pops, Bake My Day Bakery, Pop•A•Nana popcorn stand and the Illumination Theater.

This upcoming DreamWorks Land will offer at least one previous attraction, re-themed to a new property. That is the Woody Woodpeckers Nuthouse roller coaster. Specific are not yet given about this re-themed ride. But, we do know that Universal Destinations & Experiences have already announced a theme park for Texas, which looks to offer many of the same film properties.
