The upcoming 2024 “The Garfield Movie” has teamed up with Olive Garden for limited-time lasagna menu. Featuring two entree options, an appetizer and a dessert, this new menu is Garfield approved. If you ever wanted an excuse to eat way too much Italian food, now is your chance.
Garfield Lasagna trio at Olive Garden is 3,660 calories
Garfield is known for lazy days and lasagna. And after this 3,660 calorie lasagna meal, you will also be wanting a lazy day. The Garfield’s Favorites menu is only available for a short period. It consists of:
- Lasagna Fritta appetizer, $11.29: Fried parmesan-breaded lasagna, topped with parmesan cheese and meat sauce, with creamy alfredo.
- Lasagna Classico, $18.29: Layers of pasta, parmesan, mozzarella, pecorino romano and a homemade meat sauce.
- Tour of Italy, $21.99: Three entrees classics including Chicken Parmigiana, Lasagna Classico and Olive Garden’s signature Fettuccine Alfredo.
- Vegetarian Chocolate Lasagna, $9.29: Layers and layers of chocolate cake, mousse, and a layer of crushed wafers. Topped with chocolate sauce.

Olive Garden appetizers, Garfield’s way
Olive Garden is well know for its appetizers, many of which become the meal. The soup, salad and breadsticks are a staple of this family restaurant. And they won’t be forgotten on Garfield’s culinary adventure.
Both entree options come with soup OR salad, and breadsticks. Because there is no better way to start a massive meal than with even more food. For the Garfield selection, you will need to buy the Lasagna Fritta appetizer. This appetizer was my least favorite item on the Garfield menu. While not bad, the fried aspect was obvious, with too much crunch and a bit of a grease taste. There was plenty of sauce, with the creamy alfredo sauce being the best.
With all the other options on Garfield’s menu, I may suggest to share or omit this option and save room for the rest.

Dinner & dessert, both lasagna
Next, the main course. Diners can choose just to get the Lasagna Classico, or to have a trio of flavors with the Tour of Italy. The Tour of Italy has Chicken Parmigiana, Lasagna Classico and Fettuccine Alfredo. Be prepared, these are hefty portions – just large enough to satisfy a lazy cat.
I ate the Tour of Italy, ultimately choosing the Fettuccine Alfredo as my favorite. But each selection had its own benefits. With the size, this is a meal that may be better shared. In fact, for the entire Garfield Olive Garden menu, it was split between two people and we still didn’t finish it all. This entree, combined with the soup OR salad and breadsticks, is normally more than enough to satisfy.

Chocolate on chocolate on chocolate
The finale, the vegetarian Chocolate Lasagna. This was easily the best option of the entire Garfield menu. The chocolate was rich without being overbearing. It, much like everything I tried, was served as a large portion. The only negative was the crushed wafer base. This base was solid, making it hard to cut up. But, grabbing the rest of the dessert from on top of that was divine. I, myself am not a massive chocolate fan. That being said, this was the best lasagna of the lasagnas.
If you dare, you can check out the full nutrition list for these items. But I will warn you, they focus on taste and quantity, not on added health benefits. If you decide to take on the Garfield Olive Garden Lasagna challenge, let me know. I might have been stuffed the day I went to grab all this food… but for now, I am thinking it’s time for another Olive Garden visit. Happy eating!
These turkeys aren’t edible. But their Thanksgiving food friends have inspired a brand new roller coaster in Indiana. Good Gravy! at Holiday World is a family coaster that takes you from Grandma’s house out into the world on a mission – get that gravy.
