Rhythm of Nature: A Magical Journey on Ice is on our must-see list of experiences at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay. This limited-time show features stunts, beautiful set pieces, a family-friendly storyline and an energetic score. This 25 minute long show is located at the Moroccan Palace Theater, near the main entrance of the park – and it is included with standard park admission.
Busch Gardens Tampa Bay states, “Join Dakari, a brave young hero, as they journey into a magical dream realm on a quest to uncover the wonders of the animal kingdom and embrace their destiny. This ice spectacle dazzles with the beauty, danger, and wisdom of nature, offering a thrilling and unforgettable journey.”

From Tampa Bay, Florida into the dream realm
We have seen many of Busch Garden Tampa Bay’s ice skating shows in the past, but Rhythm of Nature: A Magical Journey on Ice stands out with its intricate set pieces. The “WOW” factor starts the show with glowing lanterns hanging above the ice. A large LED screen, fog effects, spotlights, “firefly” lights, and even flying paper “butterflies” bring the audience from the theater into Dakari’s dream realm.
Over the course of the 25 minute experience, guests will see skaters transform into butterflies, monkeys, a multi-person snake, zebras, a lion and more – all very fitting for an animal forward park like Busch Gardens Tampa Bay. Solo acts, duo stunt teams and large squads of ice skating performers will each have their time to shine. And the stunts don’t stay on the ice, as aerial acts lift multiple performers to dangerous levels above the frozen ground below.

“The best ice skating show I have ever seen” – Grandma
As a travel reporter, I see shows time and time again. Critics notice specific stunts and can guess a storyline or an upcoming trick. Longtime ice skaters might have their preferred way to skate around. But it really comes down to one factor. What do the visitors of Busch Gardens Tampa Bay enjoy? For that, our show ended with a standing ovation.
I took my grandmother to see Rhythm of Nature: A Magical Journey on Ice, and I had just as much fun seeing the show as I did seeing her enjoyment. She proudly exclaimed, “That was the best ice skating I have ever seen,” seconds after the curtains closed. Even days later, she was excited to tell her friends that they had to visit Busch Gardens.
Ice skating show at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay – Tips & Tricks
As we inch closer and closer to Spring Break, the crowd levels will rise and a show indoors always has a big draw in Florida. For those looking for the best viewing experience, we recommend:
- Arrive early, at least 20 minutes before show time – we got a spot 30 minutes beforehand and had lots of options.
- Avoid the two rows directly next to the stage – being in the front is good, but the tall stage can make it hard for younger kids to get a full views.
- Sit in the front seating area and don’t forget to look up – while you want to avoid the very front, being in the bottom, center seating area allows for wide open views. You may even get a small spray of ice during a trick. And, don’t forget to look up during the butterfly scene for a special moment.
- Grab a water and rest – drinks are allowed in the venue, so take this time to sit, relax and cool down while you enjoy the show.
- See the first show of the day – this is a show we highly recommend, so make it a priority. The first show of the day is usually less crowded, and that viewing time guarantees you get to see it and don’t miss your opportunity with larger crowds in the afternoon.
For those looking for more family-friendly fun, you can checkout the newest roller coaster at the park, Phoenix Rising. This suspended coaster takes flight in the Pantopia area of the park. With a minimum rider height of 42 inches, this means more kids can join along on the ride. While family friendly, this coaster does offer a good amount of air-time and thrill.
