Walt Disney World’s viral Blue Ribbon Corn Dog stand – we spent $75

Blue Ribbon Corn Dog has consistently been one of the most viral foodie locations at Disneyland Resort, so it was no surprise when a second location opened at Walt Disney World Resort. In Disneyland, this epic stand is located in Downtown Disney, and now, Florida Disney-goers can find the new location at Disney’s BoardWalk Resort!

A perfect addition to The BoardWalk, this location has freshly dipped and fried corndogs, lemonade, and cotton candy. Of course, they have the standard corndog, but they don’t stop there! This menu is packed with fun and unique corndog options that change throughout the year, so I decided I would head over and try every fried delight on their menu!

Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs Most Viral Creation

This Disney corn dog is by far the most viral item on the Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs menu. It starts with a cored pickle that’s then stuffed with a hot dog. Next, it’s coated in corn dog batter and then covered in breadcrumbs. Then, it’s served up hot with peanut butter for dipping.

This epic Blue Ribbon corn dog is a little difficult to eat. The pickle is thick and hot, making it a little difficult to bite through. Plus, the pickle is wet, so the batter slides around a bit. Besides all that, this concoction is surprisingly delicious. The salty, vinegary pickle, plus the fatty, meaty hot dog, and the creamy sweet peanut butter all, somehow, work well together. If you’re a pickle fan, this is a Disney food you need to try!

Kids Blue Ribbon Corn Dog at Disney BoardWalk

The Classic Blue Ribbon Corn Dog

Of course, what would a corn dog stand be without the classic corn dog? Dipped in a cornmeal batter, these iconic American eats come in two sizes – the classic dog and the kids size – both made from all-beef hot dogs.

We gave the kids dog a try, and it was alright, but left a little to be desired when stacked against the other offerings on this menu. The batter felt really dense, and for whatever reason, not as fresh as all the other corndogs. It wasn’t bad, and would be a good fit for a kid, or someone who enjoys snacks that are a bit more plain. However, at this stand, it seems the specialty items are the way to go.

Mexican Street Corn Dog at Disney BoardWalk

A Mexican Street Food Meets an American Icon

This next corn dog had rave reviews – and for good reason. Elote, also known as Mexican Street Corn, has become a globally beloved food. Online, it’s inspired tons of other dishes. And Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs took that inspiration to another level by making a corn dog with all the best elote elements.

A jalapeño cheddar sausage is dipped and fried in a cornmeal batter. Once golden brown, it’s topped with garlic mayo, cotija cheese, corn, and cilantro. Served with a wedge of lime, this corn dog is packed with flavor! Out of all the hot dogs, this jalapeño cheddar sausage inside was my favorite. Plus, the fresh toppings, like the lime juice and the cilantro paired well with the creamy mayo and meaty sausage. I will be getting this corn dog again for sure.

Golden Dragon Corn Dog at Disney BoardWalk

The Golden Dragon Corn Dog

Last, but not least, the Golden Dragon corn dog is fairly simple. And it’s also over the top delicious. This all-beef hot dog is coated in cornmeal batter and Panko breadcrumbs. Once it’s fried, it’s served with a side of sweet Thai chili sauce and spicy mayo.

This corn dog was our favorite by far! Even though it’s not as crazy as some of the other menu items, it packs a punch when it comes to flavor and texture. The hot dog is juicy and the outer crust is perfectly crispy. The breadcrumbs make for the most satisfying crunch. Add on the sweet Thai chili sauce and the spicy mayo and it’s a fantastic bite.

Lemonade Flavors at Disney BoardWalk

Lots of Lemonade at Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs

At the location here in Walt Disney World, we have additional offerings not found in Disneyland. The ice-cold lemonade and the fresh cotton candy are exclusive to Walt Disney World. Nothing goes better with a piping hot corn dog than a lemonade, so we decided to give two of their specialty flavors a try.

In addition to classic lemonade and strawberry lemonade, for an additional dollar, guests can add premium flavors: hibiscus agave and raspberry apricot. I love hibiscus, but felt this flavor wasn’t strong enough to make a difference. To me, it just tasted like standard lemonade. I enjoyed the raspberry flavor much more. It was well balanced between tart and sweet. Plus, I could tell that the flavor addition was meant to be raspberry.
