Looking to get caffeinated in a Galaxy Far, Far Away? Don’t worry, Joffrey’s Coffee & Tea Company has you covered with three new Star Wars inspired coffee blends, launched just in time for Star Wars day (and beyond!)
Joffrey’s is a beloved Disney Parks staple, as the brand has locations around the parks across the United States in both Disneyland and Walt Disney World. Throughout the year, they have made special blends, plus coffee and tea drinks celebrating Disney locations, festivals, characters, and more. This time around, Joffrey’s made three unique coffees inspired by the most iconic droids in the Star Wars universe; C-3PO, R2-D2, and BB8.
Each bag in the Droids Trio Collections is metallic, which is a fun nod to the little bots that each blend is based on. Sold in 11 oz. bags, these medium roast coffees can be purchased as whole or ground beans, based on your preference.

The R2-D2 Brew is flavored with notes of cream and hazelnuts, while the C-3PO blend has notes of vanilla custard and caramel. Last, but never least, the BB-8 blend might have the most bold flavor profile with touches of creamy chocolate and exotic coconut.
In my house, whole beans rule the galaxy, as my husband loves grinding them himself for pour-overs. Joffrey’s was kind enough to send a sample of each blend for us to try, and they arrived just in time for us to celebrate Star Wars Day, May the 4th.
May the 4th is a play on words from the most well-known and important quote in the Star Wars Saga – May the Force Be With You. This special day started informally, as fans noticed this fun pun. Since becoming popular amongst the Star Wars community, brands big and small have taken notice of this fun holiday. Some even following it up with more Star Wars celebrations, like Revenge of the 5th on May 5th, a play on the title of Star Wars Episode III, Revenge of the Sith.
A galaxy far, far away… in a cup
As soon as we opened the box, our kitchen was filled with the scent of sweet coffee. It was a tough choice, but C-3PO was the droid we were looking for to make our first brew. The beans ground up nicely, and the added flavors were detectable, but not overwhelmingly artificial or sweet. Plus, as Star Wars fans, it’s fun to see the bags lined-up on our coffee bar as we prepare to try each flavor.
