Just announced, alongside the 5 year anniversary celebration of Gideon’s Bakehouse at Disney Springs, is the promise of another foodie spot by the Gideon’s team. Six Ravens opens later this year at Disney Springs, bringing the Gideon’s Bakehouse flair and expertise, but offering up savory options from Central Florida Chefs. Owner Steve Lewis has teased what is coming to Six Ravens and how it elevates other upcoming chefs.
“A few years ago, we started exploring ideas for something new that met a grab-and-go need in a small space…What if we created a place that offered up savory delights in collaboration with some of our favorite Central Florida chefs? After all, I got my start at Disney Springs as a secret menu item at the Polite Pig. It’s important to pay it forward and bring more local flavors to the international crowds we meet every day. So with that, I introduce you to Six Ravens,” states Steve Lewis, owner and creator of Gideon’s Bakehouse.

From sweet to savory, Gideon’s Bakehouse expands with Six Ravens
Six Ravens, much like Gideon’s Bakehouse at Disney Springs, will be a grab-and-go location. This new eatery will highlight not just the work of the Gideon’s Bakehouse team, but also the efforts of local Central Florida Chefs. A signature item will be the Coffyns, the initial name for hand pies.
“This fluffy yeast bread is filled with flavors created not only by the talented minds in Gideon’s kitchen but also by some of your favorite Orlando culinary superstars,” says Lewis, “Combine that with potatoes, local draft beer, and, of course, some tasty desserts, and you will have a fun new place to fuel your park adventures.”
The Gideon’s Bakehouse success has continued
Gideon’s Bakehouse began with humble beginnings but continued to grow again and again until Steve Lewis was offered a prime location at Disney Springs. Three hour long lines became the standard as everyone learned about the “spooky cookie place” at Walt Disney World. To this day, five years later, long lines are the norm for this location. Monthly flavors, morning exclusives and handcrafted artwork keep the crowds coming.

Now as we look into the future of the Gideon’s Bakehouse we see what could be another big hit, Six Ravens. This location promises not just the Coffyns, but local beers and sweets as well.
