OREO and Reese’s have once again teamed up, this time to add in Reese’s peanut butter creme within the OREO cookie shell. This packet of OREO cookies come in a speciality OREO Reese’s Box and are sold for right under $5 at most retailers.
Let’s get it out of the way, these aren’t healthy. Don’t even begin to pretend that eating just a few is a light snack. One single cookie is 11% of your daily sugar. That being said, we are hear for the taste, not the calorie counting. And yes, they taste quite good!
OREO Reese’s cookies, dip them in milk
“OREO is milk’s favorite cookie” might be a marketing slogan, but it is at least a pretty accurate one. These cookies shine with a bit of milk. The cookies begin to crumble and the Reese’s peanut butter creme makes this a very soft and sweet dessert.
The overall flavor is somewhat similar to an OREO cookie, especially if you have had the normal peanut butter version in the past. But, the soft Reese’s peanut butter creme is what makes it pop. The creme holds the cookie together better, so less chance of it disintegrating into the milk or breaking in your hand. And, in my personal opinion, the softer creme improves the cookie over the standard filling in an OREO.
That being said, I can tell these would not do well in the heat. While a standard OREO can be taken for an outdoor snack, be more cautious as these creme filled versions would quickly melt. Overall, I think these OREO Reese’s cookies are a winner for your sweet tooth and for the world of corporate synergy.
