Being a theme park performer is not an easy job, but it does come with incredible memories. Now, imagine getting to share the highs and lows with your mom. That is what Cyn and Evan get to do as these two hold a special place in Universal Orlando entertainment history. This duo bridges a 30 year gap in Ghostbuster and theme park performing history.
Cyn and Evan, Ghostbusters!
According to the Universal Orlando Team Member social page, Cyn (mother), was cast as a Ghostbuster “student” at Universal Studios Florida nearly 30 nears ago. Now her son, Evan, has joined the Universal Orlando Entertainment Team and was picked to work in the Universal Mega Movie Parade.
“The movie is a legacy franchise in the park, but now that word takes on a second meaning with also being a legacy Team Member and taking after my mother in this way,” Evan says. “I think that’s like an insane chance, and it feels like fate.”
Being a performer gets you so close to others in your role that you basically become family. But these two were able to share their love of Universal Orlando Entertainment and the Ghostbusters franchise all at once. It will be interesting to see how many similar stories these two share of their time with the company.
The Universal Mega Movie Parade is a fairly new offering at Universal Studios Florida. This parade highlights classic films, new animations and fan-favorite properties at the resort. Only available during select times of year, this parade reaches fans of all ages from the Minions fans to Ghostbusters, Jurassic World and more.
