LEGOLAND parks in Florida and California are preparing for a major investment in 2026, a space themed roller coaster! These LEGO parks on both coasts will get their own large, fully indoor roller coaster. Merlin Magic Making is working in collaboration with the LEGO Group to make this LEGO Galaxy coaster the most advanced ride ever for these resort destinations.
More than just a roller coaster, this expansion will bring additional offerings to the LEGOLAND Florida Resort.
- Indoor Coaster Experience: This LEGO Space Adventure will blast off from the LEGOLAND SPACEPORT 885 launchpad, named in homage to one of the original LEGO Space Scooter sets, #885. This marks the first new roller coaster to open inside the main LEGOLAND® Florida theme park since the Resort’s debut in 2011.
- Orbital Outpost: Touch down in a themed retail shop with souvenirs, space gear, and LEGO sets to commemorate your mission.
- Queue Experience: The journey begins before takeoff with a covered, story-driven queue area inside LEGOLAND SPACEPORT 885 that invites families to engage, imagine, and prepare for launch whether there’s rain or shine.
- DUPLO TOT Spot for Tiny Astronauts: Little explorers ages 1–4 can jump, crawl, and play in this shaded, soft-surfaced area featuring DUPLO bricks, vehicles, characters, and a photo op, with nearby seating for grown-ups.
LEGOLAND California will also be receiving more than just this new thrill ride when the project is complete.
- Indoor Coaster Experience: This LEGO Space Adventure will be the first new coaster at LEGOLAND California in over 20 years.
- Two additional cosmic themed rides will be added to the area.
- A LEGO Space themed area for toddlers will debut nearby, offering shade and themed play structures.
- A galaxy themed dining experience and LEGO Space shop will also be a part of this 2026 expansion.
