LEGOLAND Florida debuted their first ever drone show, Monster Skytacular, during their annual Brick Or Treat event. As families, LEGOLAND employees, reporters and influencers looked out, the sky began to fill with fireworks and dazzling, colorful drones. For a first time run, we believe LEGOLAND successfully combined new tech, their iconic brand and the longstanding nighttime favorite, fireworks.
This 10 minute show combines energetic music, spotlights, fireworks and 500 drones. LEGO Minifigures are larger than life as they fill the sky with light and reflect off of Lake Eloise. The Brick Or Treat characters that guests can meet throughout the day are now seen 400 feet in the air.
How to watch LEGOLAND drone show?
The LEGOLAND Florida Monster Skytacular is included with standard theme park admission – as is the candy trails and Halloween LEGO brick building areas around the park. Guests can choose to sit in stadium seating, gather along the waterfront pathways or sit on a grass-covered hill next to the lake.
Our drone show video was taken from the top of the hill, which we were told is the center point of the show. But, LEGOLAND did take viewing angles into account. All area will have good options, outside of select covered stadium seats which can’t see the full sky.
Our show was originally planned for 7:45 p.m., but the Sunshine State stayed true to its name. A long-lasting sunset made for beautiful pictures, but did delay our show 15 minutes to allow for a darker sky.

LEGOLAND Florida Brick Or Treat event
The annual Brick or Treat event is one of LEGOLAND Florida’s most successful. It combines limited-time character experiences, specialty food items, themed shows, free candy trails and the new nighttime spectacular. This event is included with admission and is offered on select days.
According to LEGOLAND Florida, “This kid-friendly event is the only time of year where guests can meet the Park’s exclusive LEGO monster characters, enjoy special immersive Halloween shows, and go trick-or-treating to collect loads of candy. It’s the ultimate kids’ Halloween celebration, packed with awesome entertainment and attractions.”
Guests will be able to meet seasonal LEGO characters like Lord Vampyre, Zombie Cheerleader, Plant Monster, Square Foot, Wolf Guy, Monster Rocker, Spider Lady and more. There are also limited time shows like the V.I.M. Dance Party, The UnbeLEAFable Halloween Night and the Zombie Cheer Crew.
Limited time LEGOLAND food
To mention Brick Or Treat and not mention their outrageous food items would be a disservice to readers. This year the seasonal foods got even more wild. From the fan-favorite Apple Fries to the new two foot-long Monster Dog, these items are setup for the season.
If you find any content creator who attended this event, there is a very good chance they mention the Monster Dog. This two foot-long hot dog cost $33 and is covered with ranch, bleu cheese crumbles, fried buffalo chicken dip, green onion and celery. It is made for a family of four! Guests can enjoy numerous types of Halloween treats:
- Mummy Madness Waffles: green waffle sticks filled with hazelnut sauce and topped with sprinkles from the grave.
- Potion #9 Shake: a purple cookies and cream shake with gummy worms and eyes, green buttercream topped with Halloween sprinkles served in a souvenir mason jar.
- Scarecrow’s Caramel Crunch (Apple Fries): salted caramel soft serve ice cream atop warm apple fries topped with crushed pretzels, whipped cream and harvest sprinkles.
- Roaring Wicked Chicken: a fiery cheese puff chicken sandwich with pepper jack cheese, lettuce and tomato… all served on a black bun.
- All Bat, No Bite Delight: a bat-shaped chocolate-covered apple with edible wings, ears and candy eyes.
