LEGOLAND Florida has added a pop-up set of LEGO fans to Miniland U.S.A. in celebration of the Stanley Cup victory for Florida. Miniland U.S.A. is one LEGOLAND Florida’s most popular areas, comprised of huge LEGO structures representing cities in the United States. Now, for a limited time, LEGO Florida Panther fans have assembled in the Miami area to cheer and celebrate.
Using more than 2,000 LEGO pieces, three Master Model Builders created 20 Florida Panther fans and six actual panthers (some even wearing jerseys). They are gathered on a lawn in Miniland U.S.A., armed with rats in their little LEGO hands ready to throw onto the rink.
UPDATE, June 28, 6:09 p.m.: LEGOLAND Florida Resort proudly celebrates the Florida Panthers’ historic Stanley Cup victory over the Edmonton Oilers (4-3) by constructing an entire replica of the team from LEGO bricks and placed into the Park’s Miniland U.S.A. This special tribute is a heartfelt invitation for the victorious team and all of Winter Haven to honor the team’s win.
Four LEGOLAND Master Model Builders captured the excitement and energy of the championship-winning moment using more than 4,000 LEGO pieces. The builders created 29 hockey players, 20 Florida Panther fans, 18 dance team members and six actual panthers (some even wearing jerseys) gathered on a lawn in Miniland. A few players are holding signs that read, “I’m going to LEGOLAND Florida Resort!” While various fans are armed with rats in their little LEGO hands ready to throw onto the rink. This LEGO brick replica took more than 20 hours to build.

Hidden storylines and funny moments are placed all throughout Miniland U.S.A. For the Christmas and Halloween season, it is normal to find new builds show up in the area. A keen eye, and a bit of patience, will help visitors discover lots of mini-moments in Miniland U.S.A.
These LEGO hockey fans are watching the game on a big LEGO screen which took eight hours to design and four hours to build. This slapshot of creativity is on display now near the Miami section of Miniland. But only for a limited time!
