Japanese delicacy, Kakigōri, has debuted at Disney Springs in the new Kakigōri Kool Cart at Morimoto Asia. This summertime treat is now the only shaved ice location at Disney Springs. Morimoto Asia can be found in The Landing area of Disney Springs, located near Gideon’s Bakehouse, Chef Art Smith’s Homecoming and Raglan Road Irish Pub.
Hailed as a summer delicacy in Japan for thousands of years, kakigōri is a traditional dessert that blends thin shaved ice with fresh fruit syrups and specialty toppings. Similar to the texture of fallen snow, this dessert is culturally served at festivals and fairs, convenience stores and street stalls across Japan. Disney Springs guests will have two options to choose from:
- Signature: Made with frozen vanilla custard, shaved ice, cherry syrup, pineapple syrup, blue raspberry syrup, condensed milk and diced pineapple.
- Classic: A refreshing mix of shaved ice with grape, cherry and lemon syrups.
- Bottled Acqua Panna and Perrier sparkling are also available at the stand.
For those looking for a full meal, Morimoto Asia is still offering its full service dining, sushi bar and Streetfood menu. The Passport to Morimoto Asia event is also ongoing. This speciality food and drink program began last September and features a new tasting each month. Fans who continually visit month-after-month can win a meal with Chef Morimoto himself.
