Disney World’s NEW Villains Show adds energy and evil to Hollywood Studios

Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After is a brand new musical production at the Disney’s Hollywood Studios theme park. Debuting right as the Florida heat ascends towards its peak, this energetic villains show offers catchy music, fun visual effects and a moment to rest. One of numerous new offerings during Walt Disney World’s Cool Kid Summer, this show is a must-see for Disney Villains fans.

Cruella de Vil, Captain Hook, Maleficent and The Magic Mirror

While many villains are represented in this show, four characters stand out (three of them literally as they walk onto the stage). This show is hosted by The Magic Mirror from the 1937 “Snow White” film. The Magic Mirror has been bugged again and again by a whole host of Disney Villains. The Villains each ask their questions, wanting to showcase their own side of the story. But, The Magic Mirror is finished with their whining and shows you (the audience) what he has to deal with.

This leads us to our three main “on stage” characters, Cruella de Vil, Captain Hook and Maleficent. Each character is given their own musical number, complete with a stage transformation done via numerous LED screens each representing a mirror into a villainous world. While a screen-heavy show can be done poorly, this specific Disney show utilized them well, making the very walls around you transform.

New 2025 offerings at Walt Disney World

Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After replaces the Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy show. This production is located next to Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster starring Aerosmith and The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror. Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After is placed in a good spot for the family with varying ages of kids with them. While older kids may want to flip, launch and rock out on a coaster, the younger kids may be afraid or too short.

This is where this new Disney Villains show offers a solution. This show plays fairly often throughout the day, with more than 10 shows per day on average. The wait times for the show shouldn’t be bad, as this is a large theater with lots of times to visit. Outside of those intense Florida rainstorms, I expect this Disney Villains show will have walk-up seating available for most performances. Now, that isn’t to say the show won’t be popular. Instead, this show was built for ease of entry and large crowds. Which is exactly why I think it’s a good addition.

During our showing, Maleficent was chosen by the crowd as the villain treated most unfairly.

Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After has numerous endings, adding to re-watchability

This show isn’t over after one viewing either, you can actually catch three separate endings, depending on the crowd and their favorite villain. The end of the show asks the audience for a bit of cheering participation. The crowd will choose between Captain Hook, Cruella de Vil and Maleficent as the villain who was treated unfairly the most in their story.

The winner gets some extra time in the limelight, complete with their own finale. That means you will have to see the show at least three times to get the full experience. For the parents, this is important info. The show has a catchy song, but not too catchy that you will want to avoid seeing this show twice in a single day. Yes, if you are looking for some AC and chill out time with the kids, I do think you could come back and see this again in the same day.

Disney’s Cool Kid Summer

That’s not all! Cool Kid Summer has begun at Walt Disney World and it involves more characters, more kids activities, limited-time foodie items, new shows and more. Drew The Disney Dude got footage of the entire upgraded show experience, The Little Mermaid: A Musical Adventure, which also debuted at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Animals bring new life to Disney’s Animal Kingdom as well this summer as a new baby giraffe and tiger have debuted this year. Adorable and always exploring, these new creatures have already gone viral and stolen the hearts of Disney fans.
