Surprise! Walt Disney World Resort hotels are offering free water park admission for the 2025 season, with a catch. A new perk, specific for those staying at Walt Disney World Resort hotels, is always welcome.
Disney is making a splash with a new perk for guests in 2025. If you stay at any Disney owned Walt Disney World Resort hotel, you will be able to visit a water park at the beginning of your vacation. This is specific to the Disney Resorts Collection of hotels, and does not currently include Good Neighbor Hotels or the Swan & Dolphin Resort.

The Disney Parks Blog first shared this news, announcing the next round of resort hotel perks. Walt Disney World is home to two water parks, which usually switch out opening dates. It is rare now that both water parks are open at once.
That being said, the ability to visit a water park, for free in Florida, is a nice add on for a Disney trip. Families will be able to check in, drop off their bags and head right out for fun. Depending on the time of year, guests can visit Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon or Disney’s Blizzard Beach.
But wait, there is a catch
A new perk, awesome! But you should know there is a catch. The free Disney water park admission is only available on the day of check in. You can’t end your trip or have a mid-vaca water park day with this perk. But, you can start the Florida vacation at a water park.
This may influence some to head down a bit early for their trip. Guests can drop off their bags to the helpful Cast Members (don’t forget to leave a tip for the hardworking bellmen), grab their room cards and get to swimming. Of course, many Disney Resort hotels also have wonderful pools. That being said, who can deny a good lazy river or a thrilling family water slide during a hot day. Plus, the Disney Resort hotels offer free bus service to the water parks.
