The Caribe Royale Orlando, known by some as the pink hotel near Walt Disney World, is offering a summertime discount with a drink tasting. With rooms starting around $189+ during the summer discount (including all fees), this hotel offers suites with numerous pools, restaurants and outdoor activities for the same general price as Disney’s Value Resorts.
The Caribe Royale Orlando offered up a free weekend stay to myself to check out the property. While I was able to provide social videos and photographic content during my stay, this article was not a part of any contract, nor am I paid in any way to offer up this review. That being said, I believe it is important to note that upfront. Now, here is why the Caribe Royale may be the right fit for your next trip.
Offerings I didn’t expect at Caribe Royale
A sports bar isn’t just normal at a large hotel, it’s pretty much expected at anything above a small location. That being said, Stadium Club one was of the most impressive parts of the entire Caribe Royale Orlando location. This multi-floor bar hosts a huge 360º screen, tons of simulators and an impressive lineup of food offerings. No, you don’t plan an Orlando vacation based off of a sports bar. But, it was one of the first things we experienced and it began a series of surprises for me.
Outdoor activities beyond the pool. Yes, Caribe Royale Orlando has a pool. It has a slide, a large waterfall, poolside drinks and a hot tub, plus cabanas for rent and a DJ. But it also has catch-and-release fishing, no extra fees. It has a biking trail, no rental fees. It has bus transportation to the Walt Disney World theme parks, no extra fees. It has pickleball courts, a $5 fee.
For those looking for a getaway, even if it doesn’t include visiting Orlando’s theme parks, there are numerous options at the hotel and many of them are included. That, combined with the pricing on the website being upfront about all fees, is a welcome sign to me. I can’t stand being nickel-and-dimed through a vacation.
The suites are the “small rooms”
At the Caribe Royale, the suites are the standard rooms. Each comes with a living room area, complete with its own tv, refrigerator and pull-out bed. The main rooms can either have two Queens or one King sized bed. Knowing this is the room with the $189+ price tag adds more context to the value. For those looking for more space, there are also 1,260 square foot Two Bedroom Villas designed for a group of six.
I personally love staying at a Walt Disney World hotel and it absolutely has its perks. But for those looking for options that might not involve an overnight stay with Disney, here is a comparison. Adding in Florida discounts does put Disney ahead for select dates this summer, so I highly recommend doing your research to see how tickets and room rates all affect the price. But, for the base rooms during the end of the summer season, this is what we see. Midsummer rates, July 21-24 as an example, gives us $224 at Disney’s Pop Century Resort and $191 for Caribe Royale Orlando. An important note, those staying at Pop Century get free parking at their hotel and at the Disney theme parks. Caribe Royale Orlando does charge $34 per night to park.
