Cast Member costumes are an iconic part of Disney Parks around the globe. Artist, Ava Buric, took their unique style to design an artwork series of adorable frogs, working to create magic as Disney Cast Members. This full series represents the parks in numerous roles and seasons.
It began on day one with Balloon Vendors. Near The Hub, or somewhere on Main Street U.S.A., these Cast Members hop on any opportunity to showcase their colorful array of options. A lot of Instagrammable pics are thanks to these Cast Members, holding strong to their balloons, but also allowing guests to grab a portion for that perfect pic.

I reached out to Ava Buric, where she mentioned it all began with the Christmas time Cast Member costume. “It’s hard to choose a favorite,” said Buric, “but I’d say it’s a tie between the Christmas and Radiator Springs Racer [costumes]. The Christmas costume Cast Members wear at the holidays was a primary inspiration for this project, but I ended up loving the colors, pose, and background I put together for Radiator Springs Racers!”

Cast Member costumes are integral to Disney Parks
Looking through a month of posts, it is easy to see why Disney cares about the details. So many of these employee outfits are instantly recognizable. Disney uses themed language and detailed stories for everything. That is why the employees are Cast Members. All part of a show.
If you are part of a show, you need a costume. There is also the areas where park guests can’t go, that is the backstage area. Cast Members make sure to look their best when they do see guests in the on-stage areas. All a large system to help create the magic.

Creating a month of Cast Member costumes
For a month of adorable Cast Member costumes, Buric sketched out each idea early. Around half of the artwork was ready to go a month in advance. But, some projects were finalized the day before posting. Buric stated, “Most of the frogs were started, completed, and placed on a unique background within a few hours.” Buric also has a collection of sports mascot artwork on Instagram, and other Disney creations on a portfolio site. Make sure to check out all the other fantastic artwork.
Which Cast Member costume is your favorite? From the colorful flags of Epcot to the royal garments of Fantasyland, the blues of character attendants, the greens of PhotoPass and so much more. There are a lot of designs to enjoy.
The theme park fandom doesn’t end there. We also spoke to IONOX Media who creates 3D wood crafted theme park maps. These recreations of parks and film locations are built large and filled with little details.
