Starting Aug. 23, aligned with the Ahsoka Disney+ show, Ahsoka Tano will be appearing at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disneyland.
Originally appearing in “Star Wars: The Clone Wars” movie and tv show, then later in subsequent Star Wars shows like “Star Wars: Rebels” and “The Mandalorian,” Ahsoka is a powerful force user in the Star Wars galaxy. Her fanbase has only grown as she has appeared in more Star Wars media throughout the years.
Disneyland exclusive, for now
Fans were quick to point out that while Walt Disney World also has a Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge land, the Florida counterpart will not get Ahsoka. This is the same case for Boba Fett and Fennec Shand. Walt Disney World fans desperately cried out for the Mandalorian and Grogu to appear in the parks last year. Both of whom did eventually appear at Disney’s Hollywood Studios earlier this year.
Michelle Young, Twitter (X) user @btr2trvl, did mention that Florida has the “real” Ahsoka. She is referencing Ashley Eckstein, the voice actress of Ahsoka. Eckstein is a hardcore Disney Parks fan and appears regularly at Walt Disney World. She has kept a great relationship with fans and has driven up mass popularity for Ahsoka throughout the years.
How to meet Ahsoka Tano at Disneyland
Ahsoka Tano will be swarmed for her first few weeks at Disneyland. As we have seen in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge for all new entries, the crowds have a goal to see and interact with the characters.
The Mandalorian, Grogu, Boba Fett, Fennec Shand, Kylo Ren, Chewbacca, Rey, Vi Moradi and First Order Stormtroopers are all out at certain times in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland Park. Ahsoka Tano will most likely follow the times we have seen for the newer characters, like the Mandalorian.
This means that she will be out for about half-an-hour (each time) starting around 10 a.m. and continuing on though midday into the evening. These times can change, and schedules do usually get modified as Disney figures out the best times for each character. Since Disneyland is currently offering so many Star Wars characters, it is possible Ahsoka could be seen later in the evening and towards the end of the day.
While not yet confirmed, it is possible that we may see Ahsoka interact with other Star Wars characters in the land. So far, Disney lets the Disney+ characters interact and the sequel trilogy characters interact, but the two timelines do not cross.
Be kind to the Disney characters
Disney characters meet hundreds and thousands of guests a day. While not everyone can get a perfect photo, it is never a reason to push or shove your way to a character, and especially not a reason to grab them. Give Ahsoka space. She will be able to see more people, speak to more of the crowd and pinpoint more fans when she isn’t crowded. This applies for all Disney characters. To see the magic, let them be able to perform to the fullest.
Alongside adding a new character, Disney is also adding new adult drinks to Disneyland Park. Soon, Main Street U.S.A. will be another spot to grab a mixed drink or glass of wine. Alcohol was first introduced to the park in 2019 with Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge
