ICE! at Gaylord – all destinations and themes for 2024

2 million pounds of ice, carved into intricate figures, slides and photo-ops is coming to Gaylord and Marriott properties all over the United States. ICE! at Gaylord begins in November, and each destination will have its own theme for the 2024 season.

Kicking off this November, the 24-year-old holiday tradition will feature 2 million pounds of hand-carved, larger-than-life ice scenes and fan-favorite characters from memorable Christmas classics. Overnight and local day guests at each destination will step into a winter wonderland that includes more than 10 walk-through scenes, two-story ice slides and photo-worthy moments.

ICE event at Gaylord Palms

ICE at Gaylord Palms in Kissimmee, Florida – “Elf”

Gaylord Palms ICE event will take place: Nov. 15, 2024 – Jan. 4, 2025 and feature the film, “Elf.” For the first time, guests can experience New Line Cinema’s story which tells the tale of a young orphan child who mistakenly crawls into Santa’s bag of gifts on Christmas Eve.

ICE event at Gaylord Texan

ICE at Gaylord Texan on Lake Grapevine, Texas – “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer”

Gaylord Texan ICE event will take place: Nov. 15, 2024 – Jan. 5, 2025 and feature the film, “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.” Visitors can enjoy favorite scenes from “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer,” the story of a young reindeer who used his luminous red nose to save Christmas.  

ICE event at Gaylord Rockies

ICE at Gaylord Rockies in Aurora, Colorado – “The Polar Express”

Gaylord Rockies ICE event will take place: Nov. 22, 2024 – Jan. 1, 2025  and feature the film “The Polar Express.” Based on the beloved Christmas film, families are invited to take an extraordinary train ride to the North Pole, embarking on a journey of self-discovery that shows the wonder of life never fades for those who believe.

ICE event at Gaylord Opryland

ICE at Gaylord Opryland in Nashville, Tennessee – “Frosty The Snowman”

Gaylord Opryland ICE event will take place: Nov. 8, 2024 – Jan. 4, 2025 and feature the film “Frosty the Snowman.” Visitors can experience the magic of the snowman who came to life in a frozen, holiday wonderland.  

ICE event at Gaylord National

ICE at Gaylord National in National Harbor, Maryland – “A Charlie Brown Christmas”

Gaylord National ICE event will take place: Nov. 15, 2024 – Dec. 28 2024 and feature the film, “A Charlie Brown Christmas.” Guests can follow along with the lovable Charlie Brown as he rediscovers the meaning of Christmas.  

ICE event at JW Marriott San Antonio

ICE at JW Marriott San Antonio Hill in San Antonio, Texas – “How the Grinch Stole Christmas”

JW Marriott San Antonio ICE event will take place: Nov. 23, 2024 – Jan. 5, 2025 and feature the film, “How the Grinch Stole Christmas!” Showcasing the 1957 Dr. Seuss classic, families can experience the memorable evolution of the Grinch as he fails to destroy the Whos’ holiday spirit.  

What is offered at ICE! at Gaylord Resorts?

ICE! serves as the centerpiece attraction to each destination’s lineup of Christmas activities, live shows and dining experiences. Among the family-friendly activities featured at each resort is a festive-themed Snow Factory, where visitors can take a plummet through an ice tube adventure and boost the power of the snow machines by crafting and hurling snowballs at designated targets. New resort-specific highlights for the 2024 season include an original production of Cirque: Frost, a live show at Gaylord Rockies, and a Christmas dinner show at Gaylord Opryland.
